Top teams from across Central Minnesota put their knowledge to the test, competing for a coveted spot in the State Knowledge Bowl Tournament.
From Tuesday, February 25, to Thursday, February 27, Central Minnesota’s Region 7 Knowledge Bowl teams gathered at the Atwood Memorial Center on the campus of St. Cloud State University (SCSU) for the Sub-Regional Knowledge Bowl Competition. Schools competed in three divisions—A, AA, and AAA—based on district size.

The competition consisted of one written round and five oral rounds, challenging students across all secondary-level subject areas. Questions tested recall, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. The top six teams from each division advanced to the Regional Knowledge Bowl Tournament, hosted by Resource Training & Solutions on Tuesday, March 4, at SCSU.

In addition to the team competitions, regional coaches voted for the Coach of the Tier and the Team Spirit Award. The Coach of the Tier award recognizes a coach who demonstrates deep knowledge of the program and rules, provides support to others, and fosters a positive environment for teams. The Traveling Team Spirit Plaque is awarded to a team that exhibits outstanding character and sportsmanship throughout the season.
