The Senior High Knowledge Bowl Competition for Central MN Region 7 teams took place Tuesday, March 15th at North Branch High School.
47 teams competed for a chance to advance to the state competition. Teams competed in one large meet of one written round and five oral rounds of questions with scores broken down into three competitive tiers based on school size. At the end of the meet, the Top 6 teams in each Tier were awarded medals with the top two teams in each Tier advancing to the State Knowledge Bowl Meet in April, for a total of 6 teams from Region 7 coordinated by Resource Training & Solutions.
On Monday, March 21, 2022 Holdingford took on Saint John’s Prep in a tie breaker round at Resource Training & Solutions. Each team finished with a final score of 101.5 at the Regional Knowledge Bowl competition. Holdingford won the tie breaker round and will be headed to the State Knowledge Bowl Meet.
Representing Tier I in the State Knowledge Bowl, will be St. John’s Prep and Holdingford. Tier II will be represented by Melrose and North Branch, and Tier III by two teams from Buffalo.
