Structured Literacy Cohort
Target Audience:
K-3 grade classroom teachers, K-6 EL teachers, K-12 special education teachers as appropriate, interventionists, related service specialists, or instructional coaches, administrators, others as you deem appropriate.
Description:
The LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) is an empowering professional learning that provides teachers a deep knowledge to be literacy and language experts in the science of reading. Using the Lexia LETRS suite participants will complete dynamic online learning with activities to reinforce concepts, watch videos of experts teaching, and learn practical ways to apply learning to the classrooms every day. The facilitator will support participants face-to-face online with efficient pacing to complete online modules successfully, provide context and examples about the readings in the text, and provide guidance on using the Bridge to Practice activities to make necessary connections back to the classroom.
Participants will complete this training over two years, and in year three will receive support and guidance with implementing structured literacy in their classroom. A 3-year commitment is required to participate. Please note the dates for listed above for the virtual training sessions.
Fee:
The cost for participants includes LETRS training volume 1 & 2, online Lexia Learning Bundle, books, facilitation costs, and instructional coaching.
Full Member: $2500
Associate Member: $3333
Registration for this Structured Literacy cohort will close September 15th or when 40 spots are filled.
Dates & Times: Members in the cohort will meet virtually after school hours for three hours to discuss that half unit assignment. Work outside of the virtual gathering ranges from 1-2 hours reading and participating in online modules each week.

Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations requested prior to the shipment of texts and distribution of online modules, will receive a full refund of the registration fee. Refunds will not be issued for no-shows or cancellations made after materials have shipped, or online access has been provided. Resource Training & Solutions reserves the right to postpone, reschedule or cancel the class at any time. In the unlikely event a class does not take place, a full refund will be issued or the registration fee may be transferred to another service.
