As we gear up for the October launch of the 2020-21 Growing Leadership in Local Government Cohort, we are excited to share the first installment into our Growing Leadership monthly series. We hope you are able to take away some knowledge, insight, and inspiration from the content each month! We look forward to seeing all cohort participants in October!
Fostering Success with Personal Resiliency
Mark Sizer and Melissa A. Huberty, MSW, LICSW
As registrants of the upcoming Growing Leadership in Local Government Cohort created especially for you by Resource Training and Solutions and University of Minnesota Extension, we want to share a little information on Fostering Success with Personal Resiliency, one of the topics to be presented at the November session.
Melissa A. Huberty, MSW, LICSW, will be joining me to present this session. Together we have over 25 years of combined experience discovering and teaching the principles of resilience to government agencies, professional associations, schools, non-profits and faith communities. We have seen individuals, work teams and entire organizations transform and become more confident, efficient and productive as they apply principles of resilience to both their work environment and their personal lives.
Our November session will be unlike training's you may have previously experienced. Melissa and I will be guiding you through the 3 Principles of Mind, Thought and Consciousness. We will cover both conditioned and original thought, accessing our innate health and wisdom, operating in the moment and understanding our ever changing state of mind. Armed with this understanding, we can navigate and lead in our work, community, family and personal lives with confidence, happiness and peace of mind.
The link below will take you to a very short video by Dr. George Pransky, one of the two professional founders of the understanding of The Principles of Mind, Thought and Consciousness. He has taught the Principles for forty years to individuals, couples, businesses and colleagues. In the video, Dr. Pransky gives an example of how we perceive the world, but when we discover a new understanding, we can make adjustments for the better.
This highlighted resource is just one of many that will be made available to participants throughout the program. Look for the next installment into the Growing Leadership series next month. If you know or are someone who hasn't yet applied to the program but want to learn more, follow the Growing Leadership in Local Government link and submit your application soon as space is limited.
