Understanding fractions begins long before students see a numerator and denominator. In this interactive session, educators will explore effective strategies to develop young learners’ foundational fraction concepts through hands-on activities, visual models, and real-world connections. We’ll focus on building a deep, conceptual understanding of fractions as part-whole relationships, unit fractions, and early fraction sense to set students up for success in later grades. Join us to strengthen your instructional toolkit and make fractions meaningful for all learners!

About the Presenter

Megan Klaphake is a former 4-6 grade math teacher who focused on project based learning, conceptual understanding and building relationships with her students. She is currently the COMPASS Math Coach at Resource Training and Solutions.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations requested with 7 business days or more prior to the start date of the class will receive a full refund of the registration fee. 50% of the registration fee will be refunded for cancellations requested within 3 - 5 business days. Refunds will not be issued for no shows or cancellations made less than 72 hours before the start of the class. Resource Training & Solutions reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, or cancel at any time. In the unlikely event a class does not take place, a full refund will be issued or the registration fee may be transferred to another class. Resource will send a cancellation notification to the email address provided at the time of registration. Please be sure you enter your email address accurately and check your email regularly.
