Too often, students learn fraction operations by memorizing rules without truly understanding the “why” behind them. This session will take educators beyond algorithms to explore the deep conceptual foundations of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions. Through visual models, hands-on activities, and real-world problem-solving, teachers will gain strategies to help students build lasting fraction sense. About the Presenter

Megan Klaphake is a former 4-6 grade math teacher who focused on project based learning, conceptual understanding and building relationships with her students. She is currently the COMPASS Math Coach at Resource Training and Solutions.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations requested with 7 business days or more prior to the start date of the class will receive a full refund of the registration fee. 50% of the registration fee will be refunded for cancellations requested within 3 - 5 business days. Refunds will not be issued for no shows or cancellations made less than 72 hours before the start of the class. Resource Training & Solutions reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, or cancel at any time. In the unlikely event a class does not take place, a full refund will be issued or the registration fee may be transferred to another class.
